GMC Mega Manila exists to establish a dynamic and effective structure that serves the churches, laity, and clergy in its areas of responsibility—including the Philippines, the Middle East, and regions with a significant Filipino diaspora. As a connectional conference of the GMC, we journey with God in bringing new life, reconciliation, and the transforming presence of Christ to the Filipino people and beyond. Our desire is to see a revival that begins in our churches and spreads like a wave across our nation and the world, bringing transformation and renewal rooted in the heart of Christ.

In the spirit of bayanihan, we believe that together in Jesus Christ, we can achieve more than we ever could alone. Connection is a core tenet of our Wesleyan tradition, rooted in scripture and modeled by Jesus and the early church. As we gather in unity as “one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church” (see Nicene Creed), we find strength and empowerment to join God’s mission. GMC Mega Manila seeks to foster deeper connections through opportunities for mutual learning, sharing of resources, and establishing ministries that reflect God’s will for the Filipino people and our global communities.

At its heart, GMC Mega Manila is dedicated to empowering the local church—the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs (BODD, ¶ 408). Our goal is to equip the local church in discipling believers, reach the unchurched, and care for the poor through the Spirit-filled life. We are committed to planting and nurturing new congregations in underserved areas, providing support to existing ones, and ensuring that pastoral appointments align with God’s calling. By equipping and assisting local churches, we aim to make every parish a vibrant hub of ministry that reflects Christ’s love.

As Filipinos, our deep sense of community extends beyond borders. Inspired by John Wesley’s declaration that “the world is my parish,” GMC Mega Manila strives to enable collaborative ministry across local and global contexts. We will work to extend outreach efforts to communities in need, within our own barangays or across oceans, helping churches connect and mobilize in ways that no single congregation could accomplish alone. Together, we seek to embody the Gospel in action, sharing the hope of Christ wherever it is most needed.

Ministry is a journey of sacrifice and joy, and GMC Mega Manila is committed to walking alongside those called to serve. We will identify and nurture candidates for ministry, equipping them to fulfill their calling with excellence and grace. For those already serving, we offer ongoing development and practical support to ensure they thrive in their vocation. From clergy formation to congregational care, GMC Mega Manila aims to uplift and strengthen the leaders God has called to shepherd His people.

True discipleship thrives in accountability. Just as John Wesley’s classes and bands upheld personal and communal holiness, GMC Mega Manila will foster a culture of mutual accountability within our churches. We will encourage practices that nurture spiritual growth among laity while ensuring transparency and integrity in church administration and leadership. By upholding accountability as a core value, we seek to embody Christlike stewardship and faithfulness in every aspect of our mission.
